We offer a "glamping meets hostel" vibe farm stay experience here on Fire Mountain Farmstead. Book a few nights in the Tiny House to experience this rural life and explore the farm to table food, locally-crafted wine, beer, and cider, and the many magnificent sights of the North Fork Valley of the Gunnison. Wake up to ducks splashing on the pond and sheep grazing in the pasture. Send us a message to find out what seasonal farm activities might be taking place during your visit.
The nearby Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is one of the most geologically (and visually) spectacular places in the country. There's Gold Medal Waters just down the road at the Gunnison River. The numerous Wilderness Areas, Roadless Areas, and State Wildlife Areas surrounding the communities of the NFV make the hunting both challenging and rewarding. The Grand Mesa is the largest flat-top mountain in the world and boasts over 300 lakes, great for fishing in the summer, and countless miles of trails for OHV, hikers, bikers, and skiers.Â

James built this 420-sf tiny home in 2021 with the help of a couple friends. It's located beyond the sheep pasture at the back of our 10-acres. It's private, has great views, and is full of natural sunlight. This house is currently being used as a long term rental for locals, but will soon be furnished to house a farm intern and may be available for short term farm stays in the future. If you are interested in staying with us, either as a long term rental or as a farm worktrade arrangement, send us an email at firemtnfarmstead@gmail.com.
